A one-acre estate in the hills below the San Bernardino Mountains, with a nearly 30' elevation change between front and rear yards. The rear yard originally consisted solely of a dilapidated wood deck; redesign (shown here) included an outdoor kitchen with barbeque, tiled counters, and detailed overhead structure, as well as a pool. The front yard redesign included a sweeping, curved driveway, a brick courtyard with fountain, and extensive drip-irrigated low-water plantings featuring year-round shrub and perennial color.
