The Drew School living roof is located on a new LEED certified building adjacent to an older Drew School building. Designed for sustainability, habitat, and as a living classroom, the roof features plants native to the San Francisco area and emphasizes creation of butterfly and insect habitat. The roof is designed to use only minimal supplemental water. (The building’s façade also features a living wall by noted wall designer Patrick Blanc.)
