Transit Center Park-and-Ride Lot

Claremont, CA

“Best New Landscaping” Award
City of Claremont Architectural Commission (2004)

This six-acre park-and-ride lot/transfer station links the City’s recently-renovated historic Metrolink station with the downtown business core (The Village). I designed a unique and colorful pedestrian experience that utilizes many flowering perennials from the Village’s landscapes, while blending the parking lot's perimeter areas with the surrounding native landscapes. Work for the project also included a community tree-planting event at the site with over 80 participants (including City Council and several local Boy Scout troops).
